hahaha. so true. so true.

But really, it's not like there's some shortage of trees around these parts - and that you can't get a tree to grow, in rapid order, anywhere you plant a seedling here. If this were Yuma Arizona you might have a case.

Yeah , I know , it only takes a hundred years to grow another oak.

Luckily, Oaks aren't the only thing growing around here. Sadly, they are comparatively slow growing, and in 15 years are only 15ft tall. But less than full grown they'll be taking out your house, as they never seem to stop growning, eventually needing to be pruned back, which is rather unsightly. Still, long before that happens their root systems will have destroyed the underground plumbing and foundation of your house.

Houses are not known for being eco friendly. Oaks are. Oh , and by the way , your in Tennessee. Hard woods are just one of the many reasons people came here.

In another vane,

Having once been a house owner, the most important, and fun, thing about it was in making it my own, including planting the trees I wanted, where I wanted. The house was to be my home, not just an investment to be sold off in 5 years time. In 20 years I wanted to be able to say, "see that tree which adorns the yard and protects my house? I planted that."

I believe a house should be more than just the place you live.

You will find , long time Tennessee residents favor trees , not cacti. They help make a home.
